NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS)

ITAC : is a nonprofit consulting and training organization dedicated to helping NYC manufacturing and technology companies with programs that increase their top and bottom lines.

NYSERDA's principal goal is to help all New York State utility customers solve their energy and environmental problems while developing new, innovative products and services that can be manufactured or commercialized by New York State firms.

The Community Boards play an important role in improving the quality of life for all New Yorkers, but many people don't know about them. We urge you to learn how your Community Board can help you, and how you may be able to help your Community Board.

Business Improvement Districts: New York City is home to the nation's largest, most comprehensive network of Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in the country. The City's 60 BIDs annually contribute over $80 million worth of services to more than 70,000 businesses in neighborhoods across the five boroughs.

The Community Development Support Collaborative (the "Collaborative") provides capacity building grants, technical assistance, and training for selected neighborhood-based community development corporations (CDCs), nonprofit housing developers and technical assistance providers engaged in the preservation and production of affordable housing in Washington DC.

NYC Health Insurance Link Provides a useful comparison tool for both small business and the self-employed to be able to compare pricing and details on many healthcare plans and options.

The New York Public Library - Science, Industry and Business Library has put together a Business Owner's Manual. The Brooklyn Public Library - Business Library provides remote access to databases. Access everything from full-text business periodical database of magazines and newspapers to resources bringing together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Access to many of these databases requires a valid BPL library card.

This U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Cooperative Agreement is partially funded by the SBA. SBA's funding is not an endorsement of any products, opinions, or services. All SBA funded programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis. Arrangements for persons with disabilities will be made at all times in accordance with the American With Disabilities Act of 1990 and associated amendments. Arrangements for persons with special needs will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.

The Business Outreach Center Women's Business Center is also partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Women's Business Ownership (OWBO). The Office of Women's Business Ownership is established to help women become full partners in economic development through small business ownership.
