BOC Network receives Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals (JOLI) Award:
One out of Eleven Nation-Wide Awards

The Business Outreach Center Network is one of eleven community-based agencies selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Community Services to implement the Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals (JOLI) program.

BOC Network was selected out of a national pool of applicants to create new jobs to be filled by low-income individuals in New York City.   The JOLI program compliments BOC Network's program services by supporting entrepreneurial New Yorkers in developing business plans, accessing financial resources along with the necessary technical assistance leading to the creation of jobs in the community.  Microenterprise development organizations, childcare networks, legal services, state and city government, and community stakeholders are collaborating to promote community economic development, job creation, wealth and asset development for low-income individuals and families, and the increased availability of child care to enable community residents to work.

The JOLI program will directly benefit TANF recipients and other low-income individuals whose income level does not exceed Federal Poverty guidelines.  BOC Network's Child Care Business Development Project will implement and manage the JOLI program with services extended to minority, immigrant and refugee communities throughout New York City.
